STUDENT ACTIVISM PROJECT:
- Polling Results are due Wednesday, February 17 at 8:30 am
- Starting Wednesday, February 17, we will no longer be working on our flash draft. This will shift into a regular rough draft.
- What does this mean?:
- On Wednesday, you will take your flash draft and determine the central idea and details of each paragraph and section. You will have a peer do the same. You will determine whether each paragraph needs more purposeful research.
- On Thursday, you will take your flash draft and create a separate document titled: YOUR FIRST NAME and LAST NAME: STUDENT ACTIVISM DRAFT
and share it with Ms. N (so that I can comment and suggest) - On Thursday, you will be giving your writing "BREATHING SPACE" so that facts are NOT smooshed together, but have elaboration that magnifies your facts. To do this, you must read, read, read your research and try and emulate (or mimicked) how a professional writer writes.
- Keep reading for more than 30 minutes nightly (including weekends).
- Take a look at our reading goal board and note how many books you have contributed.
- We are a little over 15% toward our goal and June is four months away. KEEP reading.
- DO NOT Forget to record in your reading log, this is a part of your independent reading and home learning grade!
